Kerosene - Blue
Versatile blue hydrocarbon solvent designed for
conventional kerosene heaters and suitable for use as
a cleaning agent (degreaser) and surface cleanser.
Features:
- Boiling range – slightly oily, slow ‘tail’.
- Slow evaporation rate.
- Good solvency for many organic compounds.
- Minimum residue on drying.
- Competitively priced.
- Blue liquid with a mild odour.
- Typically used as a lamp, heater and blow lamp
fuel, engine degreaser and wood-fire
starter.
Packaging:
Kerosene – Blue is available in bulk,
IBCs (1500 litre bulk
containers), 200 litre drums,
20 litre containers and 4 × 4 litre and 12 × 1 litre
cartons.
Safety:
Please consult the MSDS
on Kerosene – Blue before use.

Toluene
Aromatic hydrocarbon solvent that performs well in
situations requiring a high level of solvency. Toluene
is common in many coating formulations, including
acrylic thinners and 2 pack epoxies.
Features:
- Removing carpet and vinyl glue.
- Used in chemical manufacturing.
- Fast evaporating solvent.
- Colourless liquid with a characteristic odour.
- Solvency – Toluene can be included in any
formulation where boosted solvency power
is required and will combine well with other organic
compounds. It has a very high solvency
of greases, oils and general dirt as well as
sophisticated polymeric surface coatings and
specific high molecular-weight organics.
Packaging:
Toluene is available in bulk,
IBCs (1500 litre bulk containers), 200 litre
drums, 20 litre
containers and 4 ×4 litre and 6 × 1 litre cartons.
Safety:
Please consult the MSDS
on Toluene before use.

Mineral Turpentine
Hydrocarbon solvent specifically designed for use
in many paint formulations and associated thinners.
Mineral Turpentine is one of the most widely used
hydrocarbon solvents as it combines good solvency with
controlled evaporation. Use Mineral Turpentine for
thinning paints, linseed oil, waxes and polishes,
metal cleaning and clean-up of brushes and equipment
after painting.
Features:
- Mid-range evaporation rate.
- Good solvency for oil, grease, wax and silicone.
- Relatively low cost.
- No residue on drying.
- Versatility – Mineral Turpentine can be included
in any formulation where controlled
evaporation is required and is miscible with all
other organic solvents.
- Solvency – Mineral Turpentine has good solvency
for greases, oils, and general dirt –
as well as for alkyd resins in enamel paints.
Packaging:
Mineral Turpentine is available in bulk,
IBCs (1500 litre bulk
containers), 200 litre drums,
20 litre containers and 4 × 4 litre and 12 × 1 litre
cartons.
Safety:
Please consult the MSDS
on Mineral Turpentine before use.

White Spirits
A widely used hydrocarbon solvent that provides
good solvency with controlled evaporation.
Features:
- Relatively low cost.
- Removes stains.
- No residual on drying.
- Mid-range evaporation rate.
- Can be used for multi-purpose cleaning and
thinning applications.
- Typically used as a paint thinner and cleaner,
degreaser and home dry cleaning fluid.
- Good solvency for oils, greases, waxes,
silicones, general dirt, as well as alkyd resins
in enamel paints.
Packaging:
White Spirits is available in bulk,
IBCs (1500 litre bulk
containers), 200 lire drums, 20 litre
containers and 4 × 4 and 6 × 1 litre cartons.
Safety:
Please consult the MSDS
on White Spirits before use.

Xylene
An aromatic hydrocarbon solvent that performs well
in situations requiring a high level of solvency.
Xylene is common to many coating formulations,
including general industrial enamels, 2 pack epoxies
and polyurethanes.
Features:
- High solvency.
- Mid range evaporation rate.
- A widely available and used solvent for
specialised uses in the chemical industry.
- Versatility – Xylene can be included in any
formulation where boosted solvency power
is required and will combine well with other organic
compounds.
- Solvency – Xylene has high solvency of greases,
oils and general dirt as well as
sophisticated polymeric surface coatings and
specific high molecular-weight organics.
Packaging:
Xylene is available in bulk, IBCs
(1500 and 1000 litre bulk containers), 200 litre
drums,
20 litre containers, 10 litre cans and 6 × 1 litre
cartons.
Safety:
Please consult the MSDS
on Xylene before use.
